I knew this trip
was going to be amazing but my expectations were far far
exceeded. Words cannot do justice to how awesome, brilliant
and stunningly beautiful this tour was. We did not have
to lift a finger and our accommodations were so beautiful
we never wanted to leave any of them. Each day was fantastic
- but every day surpassed the last. I mean, how can you
improve on perfection!!! We experienced not just the magnificent
pyramids, temples and places that everyone knows, but were
given a personal invitation into the heart and soul of this
magnificent culture and its people. How can you go to a
country on the other side on the Earth and feel so at home
in every sense. We were honoured and welcomed by so many
beautiful people that took care of us. The only problem
was when we were asked what our favourite experience was,
we couldn’t decide as there were too many!!!
This is so much more than a tour of Egypt - you can get
that anywhere - this is a life long love affair that has
just begun. I will return again and again, and I will

Hello Roberta,
I want to thank you for encouraging me to go on the tour
of Egypt in December 2005.
I keep going back to the photos of the trip – the
great experience stays with me. I know people often talk
about going to Egypt and how fascinating it is and now
that I have had the experience I well imagine going back
time and time again and being enthralled every time.
I thought the itinerary was well thought out because
it made it easy for me to follow the chronology of the
different phases in Egypt through time. Mohamed’s
(our co-ordinator) influence is clearly very considerable
to be able to access on our behalf such eminent speakers
as Zahi Hawass, Robert Bauval and Mark Lehner who all
added tremendous value through their knowledge. The private
visits to the sites were just so much more value –
to experience the spirituality of the places we visited
without the crowds made those places very special. The
visits to selected specialty shops under the careful guidance
of Samah (our guide) gave me a lot of confidence that
what I was buying was the genuine article – Samah
even bartering on my behalf.
Talking of Samah, his knowledge of Egypt and of all the
places we visited was truly amazing – a walking,
talking encyclopedia and he made it easy to follow and
understand – brilliant. I would also like to mention
Hatem (our facilitator)– the great expeditor! He
must have had to negotiate some very tricky deals to make
our trip both comfortable and interesting. He obviously
did a lot of hard work behind the scenes. They are a great
team – love them both!
I loved the 6 star accommodation all the way, starting
with the Mena House and finishing with the Intercontinental
– it was quality all the way!
Quantum Travel with their organizers are in my view are
the most professional people I have experienced –
they really care about their travelers. I must mention
Mohamed’s generosity. Most travel agents want to
take more – not Mohamed; he kept giving us more
such as the free nights at Sham el Sheik and the dinner
at his home - truly wonderful. A very generous man.
I have mentioned this trip every time I talk about Egypt
and will continue to recommend them highly to anyone who
is thinking of traveling to Egypt – I have left
my tags on my luggage so people will ask me about them!

trip ‘back home’ again this year.

Picture this for a moment. It
is just before sunrise and you are standing in the sands
of the Giza Plateau of Egypt between the gigantic paws of
the majestic Sphinx gazing up at its awesome face as it
is bathed in yellow lights. You can hear the sounds of Cairo
waking up behind you and as the first shafts of sunlight
appear on the horizon, the lights are turned off and the
Sphinx greets the new day as the first rays of the sun light
its face.
For many years now this is an experience that has been
reserved for Heads of State and the privileged few because
the Sphinx has been surrounded by a high wall that protects
it from the ravages of tourism. Tourists are not allowed
into the compound and have to content themselves with
a view from afar. The wall still allows you a fantastic
view of the Sphinx, but you can’t walk around it
or touch its ancient stones.
Travellers always have that one “must see”
place in their travel goals. Recently, the opportunity
of a lifetime came along which was to travel to Egypt
on a privately escorted tour, to not only discover its
archaeological secrets, but also the ancient spiritual
culture of this mystical land. The tour itinerary promised
that, should I travel to Egypt 100 times on a normal tour,
I would not see and experience Egypt the way I was going
to on this tour. Not many tours could live up to that
grand statement but this one did.

I traveled to Egypt in December
2003 and it was an amazing journey in all senses of the
word. I had never had much inclination to travel to Egypt
but I am so glad I made the decision to join this trip.
We had a guide who could only be called a spiritual guide.
He was a walking history book, great fun and he shared
more than just tourist information. He told us ancient
secrets and sacred stories and took us to places no visitors
had been before. Many of our visits were private and we
were the only group there. He said when the tour groups
and crowds arrive the energy at the sacred sites changes
and so for most of our visits, we were the only group
there. We felt the powerful history and energy of each
site as we contemplated or meditated.
We spent almost three hours inside the great pyramid
by ourselves and meditated inside the King’s Chamber,
we visited the Temple of Isis at dawn and watched the
sun rise as we meditated, we cruised the Nile and drank
tea on deck, we hiked a kilometer across the desert and
felt like Lawrence of Arabia! The memories and experiences
will stay with me forever.
The trip was magical on all levels – physically,
emotionally, mentally and spiritually. All our needs were
taken care of. All this as well as the best shopping around
with our guide the best bargainer!

I’d like to
thankyou by sharing with you a little about what this trip
to Egypt meant for me. On arriving in Cairo I was greeted
with the words “welcome home”.I don’t
think I will ever get over these two little words, which
for me meant so so much. I know this is the greeting for
all who arrive here, and for me it filled a gap in my being.
It affected me far beyond anything and anybody has ever
said to me before. I was truly touched from the moment I
arrived.
I would like to thankyou for the incredible journey (back
home) To Egypt that I have just experienced. The royal
treatment was exceptional, made all the more special by
& with the incredible staff that looked after us,
Methab, Hatem & one of the greatest treasures in Egypt
has to Sameh, he is the god of tour guides. I loved meeting,
sitting, drinking tea & talking to the locals meeting
their children, parents & even grandparents. We had
many discussions on customs, culture, politics & religion
it was incredible. The love & passion of Egyptians
in the real Egypt was for me, unforgettable.
Although I had a fabulous connection to Horus, Hathor,
Isis & Sekhmet, everything I saw & experienced
from the monuments & temples down to the beautiful
people & children on the street, everything was beyond
my wildest expectations, I loved every moment of this
amazing trip.
The only thing that I didn’t like about Egypt was
the plane trip back to Australia. I am honoured to have
been apart of this truly wonderful trip, I have recommended
this trip to many friends and will be joining the group
again in 2007.

I have been lucky enough and traveled
to 40 countries in my life and I can honestly say this trip
to Egypt arranged by Quantum Travel, has been for me and
my wife Tula simply the best, company was great, we had
a ball.
Having the special guest speakers, including Dr Zahi
Hawass & all the special added bits & pieces really
added a whole new dimension to the experience that you
don’t normally get on any trip and I have always
traveled 1st class, this was altogether a step above the

For me this trip to Egypt was
the Trip of a lifetime. I found it a very spiritual journey&
it exceeded ALL of my expectations. I felt a real connection
to the Sphinx and the Pyramids and having total exclusive
access was beyond my wildest dreams. Being there felt so
amazing, like I was back in time 2000 years ago as if nothing
had changed. Another example of this was climbing up Mount
Sinai, with the little old men and their donkeys ad camels,
it felt like biblical times.
The Culture and the people with their hospitality and
service, the Sphinx and meditating inside the King’s
Chamber in the Great Pyramid were my highlights, however
everyday was magical so it really is hard to pick. Every
moment was so so special, I will cherish this trip for
the rest of my life.
When I arrived in the magical land of the Pharaohs I
was greeted with the words, “Welcome Home”
and that’s exactly how I felt. I felt as if our
whole group with our guide and everyone looking after
us were part of one family. I have done tours before and
this was nothing like it, there was a connection between
all of us, and our environment. Ohh I want to be back,
I want to do it all again, so so special, I am coming
